This project was conceived in the belief that, faced with a sensible proposition, the stewards of the technological means of mass communication in the visual environment of public space would, with a minimum of hesitation, abandon the current use of these means of communication as a closed system for delivering commercial messages. As several proposal letters to representatives of ClearChannel and other industry leaders regarding the conversion of vast amounts of prime advertising space into a public authorship resource which invited and facilitated direct public intervention in its contents went unanswered, I realized that the existing spectacle economy's hegemony on public discourse was more solidly entrenched than I had earlier believed it to be, designed and implemented guerilla projections as a means of accessing this discourse independently of capital. One such projection, existed as a site for the direct public intervention in its textual content. I proposed a proliferation of such projections, both static and mobile, as a means of bypassing capital and bureaucracy's monopolly on authorship in the visual environment of public space.
