WITHIN AND WITHOUT THE WHITE CUBE: THE EVOLUTION OF THE EXHIBITION SPACE AND THE ACTUAL AND THEORETICAL PROBLEMS OF CURATING NEW MEDIA
This project explores works of New Media, as extensions of the trajectory of conceptual challenges which works of Postmodern institutional critique pose to the traditional Modernist exhibition space. Here, however, these challenges are as much conceptual as they are physical. Interviews with noted artists, curators, and art historians (including Roberto Bocci, Douglas Crimp, Golan Levin, Barbara London, and Frazer Ward) serve as an appendix informing the past, present, and future of New Media in the context of both the Internet and the Institution.
